DWEE to host webinar on proposed hazardous waste generator fees
The Nebraska Department of Water, Energy, and Environment will host a live webinar to share details of proposed hazardous waste generator fees. The webinar will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at 3 p.m. Central Time.
The webinar will also provide information on the anticipated scheduling and payment processes. To access the webinar, please use this Microsoft Teams Meeting link at the time of the webinar. No registration is necessary.
This webinar is part of DWEE’s outreach efforts following the 2026 Legislature’s passage of LB 759, directing the Environmental Quality Council to establish an annual fee schedule for hazardous waste generators. The proposed fees will be used to fund the direct and indirect costs of department’s hazardous waste program. The Department expects to bring a proposed fee structure to the EQC for consideration in Title 128 – Nebraska Hazardous Waste Regulations later this year.
